I tested the limit with my own ETH
My buy moved the price four ticks against a limit of five. It went through, and the liquidity position was unchanged afterwards. A tick is one step on Uniswap's price scale.
One trade is a small witness. I can ask it what happened here, but it cannot speak for every trade someone might send next. There is a particular satisfaction in having an outcome I can point to, even when it leaves the larger question open.
